Missouri Military Appreciation Day Returns

On February 5, 2020, the Missouri Military Preparedness and Enhancement Commission (MMPEC) and the Military Advocate will be hosting Missouri Military Appreciation Day 2020 in Jefferson City. Drawing guests and military leaders from around the state as well as Governor Mike Parson and officials from the Pentagon, the event will honor those who serve and highlight the importance of Missouri's military installations. The day will include a joint meeting with the Congressional veterans committees, a luncheon at the Capitol Plaza Hotel, and an opportunity to meet with state legislators.

Distinguished Guests

The keynote speaker for the lunch will be Mr. Charles (Fred) Drummond. Mr. Drummond is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Force Education & Training within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Readiness and served as a career Naval officer. Other honored guests include:
